Fall 2008 Student Government Elections

The Fall 2008 Election saw three political parties and two independents competing for 46 of the 47 open Student Senate Seats. There were two referendum questions on the ballot relating to RecSports proposal to implement hand scanners in the gyms and giving the students they Wednesday before Thanksgiving off as a travel day. The election saw record voter turnout as 10,469 students voted between 8AM and 8PM on the two days of polling: Tuesday October 7th and Wednesday October 8th.
